Teaching Without the Tension

Practical strategies that help educators reduce physical strain, improve body awareness, and move more comfortably throughout the school day.

60 minutes | In-person or Virtual | Educators and Education Support Professionals

Teaching is Physical Work

Educators spend their days standing, sitting, bending, reaching, using technology, carrying materials, and working in spaces that are not always designed with their bodies in mind. Combined with stress and repetitive movement, these demands can contribute to discomfort, fatigue, and physical tension. Teaching Without the Tension helps educators recognize how everyday work habits affect their bodies and introduces realistic strategies for moving, positioning, and resetting throughout the school day.
